The requirements of the INSPIRE Directive are designed to ensure interoperable exchange of any kind of observation data across political, administrative and organizational boundaries. The INSPIRE Directive entered into force on the 15th May 2007.
The 52°North Sensor Observation Service (SOS) implements standardized, web-based upload and download of sensor data and sensor metadata. It already features support for INSPIRE.
